Data & AI engineer at Augment Risk, building AI-native data systems on a small team. And can't stop taking things apart to see how they work.
I'm a data & AI engineer at Augment Risk, where a small team builds the unglamorous plumbing that keeps data honest: pipelines, contracts, evals. Increasingly we hand the boring parts to agents. Lately that means spec-driven development, a CLAUDE.md constitution, and autonomous overnight workflows. Off the clock I pull things apart to see how they're put together. This is my attempt at writing it down.

Steering Claude Code's tone with a custom output style, without hurting the code it writes.
Evals are just unit tests that hurt your feelings
A working harness for catching the moment your model gets worse, before the customer does.
A data platform is a promise you keep at 3am
Every tool choice is downstream of one question. Does the number mean what someone thinks it means?
Nothing shipped here yet. Give me a weekend.
There's a smaller, warmer corner for the people I answer to off the clock: the family pages. Quieter, and not really for everyone.
